Award Winning Design: by the hand of God.

Artist: God in Heaven

I don't care what anybody says, this is award winning design.
I have recently been influenced to dig in to my picture collection. It is a collection of over 5000 photos taken during my trucking days. Mostly trucks and scenery.

Anyway, I have scanned several pictures of what I feel is outstanding scenery... depending on what your looking for.

This particular image is of a mountain in southern Colorado that I photographed over 20 years ago. If I am not mistaken, this is Blanca Peak and it reaches some 14,345 feet above sea level.

I had picked up a load of potatoes and was headed east. As I drove, I was able to witness that massive cloud move east and cover the mountain. I have more pic's showing the progression of the cloud. I am imagining that this mountain was at least 15-20 miles away from the road... The skies are really big out west.

I have not touched up this photo yet either. It is original. I even have the negatives... does anybody remember negatives ?

I have looked through approximately 4000 photos in the past week and I have another 1000 or more to go.
Sorry about the slight blur in the foreground... I was driving about 70+ mph when I took the photo.
The speed limit in Colorado is 75 now too, although 20+ years ago it was probably only 60 or 65 on that 2-lane road.

I will eventually post more of my scenery picture. But I do have to stick to the program too.

  1. Yes, the sky is very big out west. It is too bad that our cameras only take two dimensional images. The human eye can see so much more. I have lots of picture from our trips out west of places like Bryce Canon, Arches National Park, Escalante, Capital Reef, Mesa Verde, Mt. Zion etc. Our favorite was Bryce! Go there if you get the chance. We have not made it to the Badlands, yet. I think Mesa Verde was very interesting too.
